Discover

The ‘discover’ phase involved getting to know the users and mapping out their user journeys.

Define

In the ‘define’ phase, we identified the components of the experience and defined detailed goals.

Ideate

The ‘ideate’ phase involves taking inspiration from the right places and using it to generate fresh ideas.

Design

The ‘design’ phase brings it all together to form a coherent experience.

Test

The ‘test’ phase will involve conducting research to test the ability of the app to deliver on the ideal user journeys.

Target users

We developed a product tailored for middle-aged, highly educated couples who have recently purchased an apartment from Bren.

These individuals possess a cosmopolitan taste heavily influenced by global brands and are well-versed in using digital technology and apps, many of them coming from the tech industry.

User’s Goal

To ensure a smooth experience, customers will have access to live updates on the progress of their invested project through the app, including detailed updates on each stage of construction and easy access to relevant documents.

Mediyum’s Goal

Use our refined processes although they are dynamic but at this point, we are confident that our processes are tried and tested to a point where they are integral to the success of us building a unique native mobile app which achieves stakeholder’s goals.

User’s Goal

To have a seamless app to get live updates on the project that they have invested in. This includes stage-by-stage construction updates and having access to the documents on the app.

Solution

We designed the right UX using a process that didn't leave things to chance to create an app that users like using.

Project brief

01

We collected briefs from stakeholders to gain a comprehensive understanding of their requirements.

We begin with the first step of the project lifecycle, the Project Brief.

In this phase, we engaged in multiple calls and communications with the client to gain a thorough understanding of the design requirements and capabilities of the application.

User Journey

02

Understanding Behavior and Predicted Paths for Optimal User Experience.

We analyzed user behavior and predicted paths in the Bren Homes App. We involved stakeholders to ensure optimal user experience. By understanding emotional responses at each stage of the journey, we were able to optimize the app.

Component Diagram

03

Identifying the Component Needed to Reach the End Goal.

Each stage of the user journey helped identify the necessary elements needed to achieve the intended end goal. The challenge was to include all the necessary elements while maintaining a sleek and simple design.

Wireframes

04

Bringing Ideas to Life: Navigating the Stage of Turning Dreams into Reality.

Building an app necessitates a deep alliance between all the necessary components, and our design team employed interactive design principles to establish a structure and flow for potential design solutions.

This approach resulted in creating relevant experiences for users. The wireframes we developed were crucial in the ideation process and assisted stakeholders in designing more optimal and user-centered prototypes. To ensure their quality and accuracy, we conducted multiple review sessions and made improvements until we finalized the wireframes. The wireframing stage was highly interactive and required strong collaboration among all team members to ensure the inclusion of the necessary elements.

Visual Language

05

Consistency is Everything!

Bren already had a brand guideline that they shared with us. Therefore, our team created a design system, which we achieved with feedback from stakeholders.

Visual Design

06

Making the App More Relevant and Tangible for Users.

Converting wireframes into a visual design focuses on making the app more engaging and accessible for users. To achieve this, we sought input from Bren's team, who have a strong understanding of their clients and what was necessary to make the visual design phase successful.

Through multiple revisions and discussions, we ultimately settled on a design style and developed the visual design for Bren Homes.

Prototyping

07

Validate ideas or discover problems.

The team used prototyping to experience how the app would feel for the first time, as they had been working
on it.

Step 7 focused on bringing the app idea to life, and the team was able to navigate through it, providing more realistic feedback for improvements in functionality.

The Journey Ahead…

It has been an exciting journey and the fun has just begun! We look forward to continuing working with the users to create the product that’s right for the users while working with the product manager to design it in a way that fits the market.

The Back Story
When the CEO of Bren bought a Ferrari and started using it, he was impressed by not just the car, but also the seamless digital experience that came bundled with it through the MyFerrari app. All his interactions with the car company and community were elegantly handled in the app.

He soon realized the convenience that such an app could bring to his own customers, the individuals who purchase apartments from Bren. If designed correctly, many of their questions, concerns, and anxieties could be handled by a digital experience delivered through an app. The head of technology agreed and thus was born the concept of MyBren.

Stakeholders’ Goal- Maximize outcome for Bren user-
Reduce the anxiety of Bren customers for their interactions with Bren, post-purchase via accessible documents/records of their purchase
⦿ Benefits to the business is reduced customer tickets
⦿ View updates of their upcoming projects
⦿ Refer a friend View & Redeem reward points
⦿ Upsell other Bren apartments
⦿ Upsell Nolta furniture

Mediyum’s Goal
Use our refined processes although they are dynamic but at this point we are confident that our processes are tried and tested to a point where they are integral to the success of us building a unique native mobile app which achieves stakeholder’s goals.

User’s Goal
To have a seamless app to get live updates on the project that they have invested in. This includes stage by stage construction updates and having access to the documents on the app.

Collaborative phase
By means of fusing demand and supply. We used our processes to achieve the Goal of Bren to deliver MyBren App.

We begin with the 1st step of the Project Lifecycle which is the Project Brief
In this phase we had many calls and communication with the client to understand the design requirements as well as the capabilities of the application.

During step 2 we delved into Mapping user journeys.
Each feature in the user journey was analyzed and discussed with the stakeholders in detail to get a clear understanding of the user's behavior and the intended paths they would choose while using the MyBren App. This involved understanding the emotional response of the user in every stage of the journey as they navigate through the app.

Step 3 was building the component diagram
Each stage of the user journey helped identify the component needed to achieve the end goal intended. The challenge was to build all the right components yet keep the design sleek and simplistic.

The following step was crucial to our process - Step 4 was the wireframing. The stage when we turn ideas into reality.
This is a highly engaging stage of building an app where a deep alliance is needed to build all the right components. Our design team in this project used the principles of interactive design to establish a structure and flow of possible design solutions to help generate relevant experiences for the user. The wireframes we built helped the stakeholders ideate toward more optimal and user-focused prototypes. We had multiple sessions of reviews to keep refining the wireframes till a point of no return.

The 5th step involved working on the visual language
Bren already had a brand guideline which they shared with us hence our team had the task of creating a design system which was easily achieved with feedback from the stakeholders.

Followed by this we worked on step 6- which was the visual design
Converting the wireframes to visual design is all about making the app more relevant and tangible to the users. Who better to tell us how to make MyBren more relevant to the users- the team at Bren. They knew their clients and knew exactly what was needed to make the Visual design phase possible. With multiple iterations and myriad calls we finalized on a style and churned out the Visual design for MyBren

What came as the next step was - The prototyping which gave the team an experience of how the app would feel for the first time since they began work on it. Step 7 was slowly about bringing to life the application that was in the form of an idea. The Bren team could first time feel how it would be like navigating through the application and give us more realistic feedback that we could integrate into the designs to improve functionality.

While steps 5 and 6 were in progress we engaged in parallel with User testing. Step 8 of conducting user testing gave us a deeper understanding of how each feature of the app was perceived by the users. This helped us refine several of the flows. So by the end of it, we had a product that was more finished than it could ever be and ready to be handed to the development team.

The Journey Ahead…

It has been an exciting journey and the fun has just begun! We look forward to continuing working with the users to create the product that’s right for the users while working with the product manager to design it in a way that fits the market.
